The birthplace of our ceramics is Maříž, a village near Slavonice. However, the place of conception is Besídka (again), in the courtyard near the right hand side wall. There, the founding fathers Boháč and Trubáček sat down together one beautiful August morning in 1991, to discuss their joint operation. It only took half an hour to found the „Maříž“ enterprise. Within a year, the first real Maříž mug was born. You can judge the success for yourselves in our ceramics archive in the Besídka hall on the second floor. In 1999, we started our own production and you can certainly tell the difference. Our products may be purchased directly in Besídka or in the green house next door where you can also paint your own piece. May to September, you will also find us in Maříž, in the tent next to the original workshop at the pond. We are there daily during July and August, and on weekends during May, June and September.
